I would really like to explore project-based real world learning opportunities in the area of chemistry. I have come to realize three important things in implementing project-based learning in my classroom. First, I don't need to know everything. My students are more than capable of researching and owning their own learning and teaching each other. Second, the involvement of an industry professional really makes it real and engages the students well beyond the enthusiasm that I can generate. And third, empowering student leaders to help develop and guide the project benefits all involved.
